APSIC Winner Ceremony 2019
Get an impression about the winner ceremony at APSIC 2019 where the winners of the Asia-Pacific region got rewarded.
More than 20 hospitals in the Asia-Pacific started the race for the Asia Pacific Hand Hygiene Excellence Award (APHHEA) 2019. After a few rounds of rigorous deliberation, 5 finalists were selected for audit visit by the expert panel members.
The audit visit is a valuable experience for these 5 finalists, as they receive the great opportunity to present their programme to the expert panel, have interesting discussions and receive valuable inputs for the future. Finally 3 winners were selected out of the 5 finalists for their creativity and innovation in running an excellence hand hygiene program. The 3 winners 2019 are:
- Faculty of Medicine, Vajira Hospital – Bangkok, Thailand
- The Royal Children's Hospital - Victoria, Australia
- Vietnam National Children’s Hospital – Hanoi, Vietnam.
Infection Control representatives of each winning hospital got the opportunity to present their hand hygiene program and were honored during the 9th Asia Pacific Society of Infection Control (APSIC) which was held at Ariyana International Conference Hall in Da Nang ,Vietnam on 19 March 2019. It was a remarkable night especially for the winners whose efforts in promoting Hand Hygiene in their respective roles and areas were once again recognized.
